EMILY F. PAISLEY

For Williamson County

Commissioner District 8

Technically, I wasn't raised in Williamson County — but I feel like I was! From six months old, I called this area home every summer and winter break. My mother was a teacher from a long line of educators who instilled in me the importance of education, and she made sure we spent those breaks in Tennessee.

As a child, I loved exploring the Spring Hill plantation homes where my great aunts lived — The Kissing House and White Hall — and Homestead Manor in Thompson Station, built by my great-great-great-grandfather. I learned to dive at the River Rest Community pool and got excited driving through the Franklin town square on the way to Aunt Kirk's house, because it meant we were halfway there. Once we arrived, I'd race off to explore every nook and cranny — but not before politely greeting my aunt and uncle, of course. I also had a front-row seat to the art of "visiting," watching my elders swap stories over iced tea.

Those memories — cousin playdates, Opryland U.S.A., Christmas Eve services at First Presbyterian Church in Oak Hill, July 4th swim races, shopping at Castner Knott and Cain Sloan, basement slumber parties at Aunt Cindy and Uncle Bill's, and my grandfather proudly introducing me around his office as Criminal Court Clerk of Davidson County — made it crystal clear: Middle Tennessee was home. And so I made it so.

After seeking a Marketing degree from the University of Central Florida and working in promotional sales and as Director of Operations for a national window treatment company, I married my best friend and we headed north from my hometown of Winter Park, FL to Nashville.

I loved my role as Executive Wedding Manager at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center until the cost of childcare made staying home the obvious — and best — choice. Being an advocate for my own three children and so many others through various community roles has been an absolute honor.

For the past twelve years, I've helped people with their real estate investments. Now I'm ready to put my talents toward a path with purpose. I'm authentic, a problem solver, an efficiency expert, a hard worker, a listener, and a creative — and I genuinely like people. I am my dad, through and through. And yes — I'm "wordy," which you've figured out by now. Thank you for making it this far!

I'd love to learn about you. Click here to set up a time. I look forward to it!
